Expedition :
Zanskar is situated south west of Leh, the only motor able road is
from Kargil , in the harsh Ladakh winter, the high passes out of the Zanskar
valley become blocked by heavy snowfall and the only access to the outside world
for the hardy Zanskaris lies along the frozen waters of the Zanskar river. We
join them in the stark beauty of these icy landscapes on our adventurous trek
along the “Chadar” means frozen blanket.
For this expedition we uses local staff from Zanskar, all the porters, and guide
are from Zanskar itself, in every sense we want to give you a local feeling, and
it helps the visitors to interact easily with local families, and monks. You
will never forget the gathering and camp fire in evening, some places you have
to sleep in caves, which will give you a life time experience.
There are two options for Chaddar Expedition….
- Option (A) : To Padum, the longer options is 20 days from Leh - Chilling -Padum-Chilling
and back to Leh
- Option (B) To Lingshed, the shorter option is Leh Chilling–Lingshed-Chilling and
back to Leh

- Day1. Our Tour Coordinator receives you at the Airport and transfers to the hotel. Rest in Leh with a mild walk
round the main market.
- Day2. Sight seeing to the Monasreries and villages around Leh by jeep overnight
stay in Leh
- Day3. Drive to Chilling Village the starting point from where we step into the
frozen Zanskar trek to Tillat-Sumdo and over night in a cave or tent
- Day4. Tillat-Sumdo to Tsomo-Do overnight in cave or tent
- Day5. Tsomo-Do to Deep overnight in tent
- Day6. Deep to Neyrags Pulu overnight in cave or tent
- Day7. Nerags Pulu to Hanumur the first village since we left Chilling over night
home stay in a village house
- Day8. Hanumur to Pishu another isolated village over night home stay in a
village house
- Day9. Pishu to Karsha you will see the largest monastery in Zanskar over night
home stay in a village house
- Day10. Karsha To Padaum over night in a guest house
- Day11. Visit to Stongde Monastery overnight Stongde over night home stay in a
village house
- Day12. Visit Zangla Nunnery, palace, over night home stay in a village house in
Zangla
- Day13. To Day 18 or 19 trek back to Chilling and drive back to Leh with one
extra day counted for the security gap (Please note that while trekking back to
Chilling for a change you have go other way round from Padaum-Stongde-Zangla-Pishu after that you have to take the same route back)
- Day 20. Drive to airport by jeep fly back to Delhi by Jet Airways or Indian
Airlines.

Option (B):
To Lingshed, the shorter option is Leh Chilling – Lingshed - Chilling and back
to Leh for 13 to 1 4days.
- Day 1: Early morning flight Delhi to Leh, transfer to hotel and rest.
- Day 2: Morning sightseeing - Shanti Stupa, and Sangkar Gompa; lunch at hotel,
afternoon rest.
- Day 3: Sightseeing around Sham, the lower part of Ladakh, visiting Likir and
Alchi monasteries.
- Day 4: Leh to Chiling (by private bus or jeeps) along with our porters from
Pishu village of Zanskar, 5 hours; visit coppersmith workshops.
- Day 5: Walk on ice of the frozen Zanskar river, Chadar, commences from Chiling,
stage one to Zaribago, 5 hours.
- Day 6: Zaribago to Deepyokma 4 hours.
- Day 7: Deepyokma to Nyrakpulu 4 to 5 hours; camp below Nyarak village, ten
minutes up along a small stream.
- Day 8: Nyarakpulu to Lingshed, one hour walk on Chadar, then 5 hours steeply up
to Lingshed village; stay in private house, relax in a heated room.
- Day 9: Full day rest in Lingshed, one of the most remote villages in Ladakh,
visit monastery, school for monks, roam around the village.
- Day 10: Ligshed to Nyarakpulu, 5 hours.
- Day 11: Nyarakpulu to Tsomopaldar, 4 hours.
- Day 12: Tsomopaldar to Tilatdo, 5 hours.
- Day 13: Tilatdo to Chiling, and return by jeep to Leh, 5 hours.
- Day 14: Full day of rest in Leh.
- Day 15: Return flight to Delhi; depart from India.

KANG YATSE
Duration: 11- 13 Days
Best Grade: Hard.
Kang Yatse lies south east of Leh and its situated in Markha Valley on the
top of Nimaling Plateau. This beautiful peak is a desire for all the trekkers
doing the Markha Valley, as they are always having a glimpse of this outstanding
peak while trekking there.
Actually there are two peaks one is easy and non-technical 6200mts high, and
the other one is quit technical 6400mts. high. Though there are many options for
this summit, but the best way is to do itz with the Markha Valley trek 6 days of
acclimatization trek from Spituk to Hankar 4-5 Days to reac upto summit and back
to base camp and 2-3 days from base to Nimaling and than to Shang Sumdo Via
Gongmarula 5150mts.

Lungser - 6666 metres. This peak is named after the River by the same
name which drains into the Tso Moriri Lake in the Rupshu area. Easy to climb and
quite popular among mountaineers.

Chamser Kangri - 6620 metres: This is the third highest peak in
Ladakh but not too difficult to climb.

Mentok Kangri I & II - 6172 and 6120 metres: This is a lovely peak on
a long ridge running south from Korzok village on the shores of the Tso Moriri
lake. In July and August the entire Korzok valley is green with wild flowers
giving the peak its name. Mentok in Tibetan and Ladakhi means 'flower'. In some
old maps this peak has been named Mata.
Best Season: Mid-July, August, September, mid October.

STOK KANGRI TREK
Duration: 6 - 7 days
Best Grade: Hard.
Stok Kangri is a perfect objective for amateur climbers to climb above
6000mts in a short span of time. You can always have a view of this beautiful
peak from Leh town. Once you are at the summit you can see the amazing views of
the Saser Kangri (7670mts) in the Karakoram Range, Kang Yatse 6400mts. and Nun
Kun (7135mts.).
